Sunday, July 14, We are so pleased to have our own Prof. Judith Summerfield of Queens College, CUNY present “A Man Came from Someplace: Stories, History, Memory from a Lost Time.” The story of Judith’s father’s immigrant experiences as a 17-year-old Jewish escapee from a shtetl in the Ukraine to his life in the U.S. A highly relevant story of survival against the odds, of trauma and resilience, of immigration to the U.S. at a time when borders were closing.
